Went to the Fallen Fruit Public Fruit Jam at Machine Project today with Madeline and Mary Jane. We made apricot-peach jam and tried it on the spot with bread from the communal table. The recipe they gave us was super easy: chop up fruit, put fruit in pot, add pectin, bring to boil. Add sugar (equal parts to fruit), bring to second boil, and then jar. A great tip they gave was that boiling and stewing the jam for longer doesn’t help bring extra flavor out, keep it quick and efficient and jar asap!
